LOPEC 2024
OET, HOPE-A and COPE-Nano Centre of Excellence participate in international events
 
HOPE-A Business Association together with Organic Electronic Technologies company and the COPE-Nano Centre of Excellence participate for another year at the most important international conference in the field of Organic Electronics, LOPE-C 2024.
LOPEC24 (large-area, organic & printed electronics convention) is taking place from 5 to 7 March at the Messe Exhibition Centre in Munich and brings together thousands of representatives of High-Tech companies, scientists, representatives of institutions and policy makers from all over the world. 2400 visitors from 43 countries attended the 2023 Conference and Exhibition.
At the OET booth (B0.409), where the three partners participate, 3rd Generation Photovoltaic applications, as well as the flagship European Projects Flex2Energy and COPE-Nano are presented to promote the Industrial Production of Organic Electronics in Europe, and innovation in these fields.
 
Invitation to Flex2Energy Special Event
 
On Wednesday 6 March 15.00-16.00 at Stand 409 Hall B0 in the LOPEC exhibition area, the President of OET and the HOPE-A Business Association, Professor Stergios Logothetidis and the Vice President of COATEMA Thomas Kolbusch, will present the European project Flex2Energy to LOPEC audience.
The event is organized by OET, in co-operation with COATEMA, the Nanotechnology Lab LTFN, COPE-Nano and HOPE-A.

3rd Generation Photovoltaic Production Plant
 
Flex2Energy
The Flex2Energy project sets a very ambitious and critical goal at European level: The mass production of 3rd Generation Photovoltaics, while creating in Europe the world's first automated production line for 3rd Generation Photovoltaics with an annual production of 1,000,000 m2 per year, and paving the way for the production of other opto-electronic devices, such as flexible Organic LEDs.
Its objectives also include the creation of tools for mass production of organic translucent PVs, both in the industrial and aesthetic fields, and in the manufacture of high performance durable printed products of integrated PVs at competitive prices, installed in Buildings, Greenhouses and Electric Car Roofs.
The 3rd generation photovoltaics are slightly flexible and translucent. They can be placed anywhere inside and outside buildings and facilities, greenhouses and open crops, etc. They provide energy autonomy, are recyclable and can be transported or even incorporated into all the materials we use in our daily lives.
The mass production of these products marks the evolution of the green industry, and the climate-neutral economy, which incorporates all the latest technological advances (automation, industry 4.0, AI, ML), and drastically reduces production costs.
